A major adjustment in hospitality and air travel was triggered by Nicholas Bredimus, who brought them together with the software world to create a new way to do business. His career highlights include effort-saving software, aircraft safety improvements, and he’s even involved in designing upmarket homes.
It could be anticipated, of course, that given his heritage he was always likely to reach the top. Its lines can be followed back into ancient history and in fact Bredimus’ lineage has associations with much of Europe. Following the maternal branch, say, he hails from Scottish and German stock. An equivalently broad blend dominates the paternal branch - previous to their emigration in the late 1800s, the family made their homes in Luxembourg and England.
And following emigration to America, they continued their work ethic and determination to thrive and survive. Growing up one of seven siblings, Nicholas would be born to a father working as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who earned her living as a nurse. Mr Bredimus would make his home in the Lone Star State for a while as well as in Scottsdale, AZ, Reston, VA and Kansas City, MO.

He’s worked in high-powered jobs with businesses throughout the air travel sector - many of them very popular names. Mr Bredimus ascended to the position of vice president with airlines like Hughes Airwest, Republic Airlines, and Trans World Airlines (TWA). But even with these achievements, above all the airlines have felt the need to be thankful for his innovation in software design.
His groundbreaking work on aircraft maintenance management programs, typical now throughout the air travel sector though originally produced for one specific company, resulted in what is still his most popular achievement. He went on to create several other pieces of software for the airline and hotel industry both before and after, among them automatic software to deal with flight reservations, now in use at fifty or more firms, not to mention his innovative pc based room booking software for the hotel sector, the launch for which was a major event at over seven hundred locations. Continuing to innovate, he developed a networked system to automate ticket sales - another groundbreaking accomplishment.
He leveraged these achievements to advance into roles not tied to software development. Responsible positions with American Express and American Airlines were to come, and in the biggest move of all he founded a firm of his own seventeen years ago.
These days Mr Bredimus has withdrawn from his airline connections and from programming, but he’s still making the most of his abilities. He is now engaged in the architectural concerns behind the emergence of environmentally neutral, high tech luxurious homes.
