The 7th Annual Animated Exeter Festival

The Animated Exeter festival encompasses the worlds of art and
entertainment, starting with a Schools Week from the 13th until
the 17th and featuring screenings and events, workshops,
exhibitions, a careers day and an events day.

The schools week will give children the chance to learn more
about computers and their powers in the production and creation
of animation and arts. With a selection of Indian Animated Films
at the Picturehouse, as well as short films and productions at
the Exeter Phoenix and Royal Albert Memorial Museum. The Spacex
gallery will also hold host to a 2 hour workshop. For more

The Careers Dayon Monday 20th features a great temple of
information on the animation industry, with industry
professionals and teachers. Throughout the day there will be
panel discussions and one-to-one sessions with the animators and
lecturers,offering ideas and solutions on careers and
opportunities in animation. For more information on booking a

The Games and Events Day will take place at
Exeter’s Phoenix Centre on Sunday 19th February,set up by
Exeter’sIT Games. The Games Day will be a free, fun packed day
starting at noon and running through until 3pm, giving you the
chance to test your reactions, play with all the latest gizmos
and gadgets, and see demonstrations of all the latest games.

The Phoenix will also have a Comic and Sci-Fi Fair which will offer the
chance to meet Emily Hare and Dave Kendall, whose work has
appeared in the production Event Horizon 2, as well as
information on the sale of comics and collectibles.

For people over 16, the Ludotopia event will be running from 4pm until
6pm, and will include a seriesof heated and thought
provokingdebates on the future of game design and production.
The debate will include agroup of speakers from a series of
well-known and respected companies involved in the games world.
